13 things the bible forbids, but we still do them anyway

 

The bible is a holy book that is meant to guide a devoted Christian all the days of their life. It is filled with instruction from God on how a Christian should live their lives, in other to make heaven. 

This days, there are so many habits we do, that is considered as normal, but totally condemned by God’s instructions in the bible.

Below are some bible verses, that clearly portrays some of the things the bible banned, but we still do them anyway.

1. Looking at a woman lustfully

 

 

In Matthew 5:28:

The Bible says that everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her, in his heart.

2. Braiding your hair.

 

 

1 Timothy 2:9:

The bible tell us that women should only wear proper and modest clothings, and not with braided hairs, Gold or expensive garments

3. Owning expensive outfits and Golds

 

1 Timothy 2:9: 

Just like the previous, the bible is against wearing really expensive clothings and gold.

4. Eating Bacon or Sausages.

 

 

Leviticus 11:4

There are some that only chew the chord, or only have a divided hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chew cud, does not have a divided hoof. It is unclean for you

5. Wearing fabric that blends i.e to match

 

 

Leviticus 19:19:

Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of materials

6. Gossiping about your colleagues.

 

 

Leviticus 19:16:

Do not go about spreading gossips especially those that can endanger your neighbors life

7. Women speaking in church.

 

 

1 Corinthians 14:34:

in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, as the Law says.

8. Carving or trimming your hair and beards

 

 

Leviticus 19:27:

You must not cut off the hair at the sides of your hair, or clips off the edges of your beards.

9. Eating fats.

 

 

Leviticus 3:17:

In your generations to come, you must not eat any fat or any blood

10. Tattoos, not even a cross or a bible verse.

 

 

Leviticus 19:28:

Do not cut your body for the dead or put tattoo mark on yourself

11. Eating too much.

 

 

Proverbs 23:2:

You should slice your throat with a knife, if you are are a man who eats too much.

12. Ripped jeans and torn clothes

 

Moses instructed Aaron and his sons never to uncover their heads, or rend their clothes, and the punishment for this is death.

13. Premarital Svx

There are dozens of bible verses that forbids premarital Svx, there is no point sharing that. It’s surprising that we see it as normal in today’s world.
