Theodore John Conrad left his job at the Society National Bank, Pubic Square, Cleveland on Friday in July 1969 with $215,000 in cash, equivalent to more than $1.7 million in today’s money.
He was never seen again.
Authorities pursued the case for 52 years.
Conrad changed his name, lifestyle and the details of his past .
He had a family, became a local golf pro and sold luxury cars in a small town north of Boston.
U.S. Marshall’s finally tracked him down within the last week but Conrad had died in May, 2021 at the age of 71 from lung cancer.
