Five Prayers You Should Stop Praying To Avoid Consequences

Due to different situations we find ourselves, we have developed the habits of Praying all kinds of prayers including the ones we shouldn’t have prayed in the first place. I will like you to know that some of our prayer points are not relevant. They serves as disturbance to God. God said we should pray but He didn’t say we should totally depend on prayers. This is what some people don’t understand. They fail to understand how it works with God so they decided to spend their entire time on prayers.

Prayers you should stop Praying

1. Prayer against your enemy; Everyday you keep firing your enemies, let them die by fire. Haba! God did not ask you to prayer against your enemy. The book of Matthew 4:44-45 says

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. NIV.

From the above passage, it is glaring that God did not support prayer against your enemies. He is in the right position to decide what to do them. Let me even ask you this, as you are praying against your enemies are you aware that you are someone’s enemy? What if the person start praying that you should die? You see?? Please and please, instead of you to pray against your enemy, it’s better you find a way of winning his/her soul for Christ.

2. Prayers for Examination miracle;

I am not saying you shouldn’t pray for the success of your examinations but don’t rely it on prayer. This is what I mean by relying on prayers; students can be so spiritual that they can pray all through the night for the paper they are having tomorrow. How do you want it to happen?? Do you want the Holy Spirit to come and show you the answer In the hall???. I’m sure there is no where In the bible that says you should only pray so that God can keep doing the work for you. Avoid such prayers and read your books. I have a philosophy and the philosophy is; “Pray as if you have never read before and read as if there is no God”

3. Prayer for the poor:

Why are you Praying for the poor?? You keep praying for the poor to get rich, is that the right thing to do? When a poor can comes to your house to tell you how hungry he is?? You decided to pray for him; are you okay?? Prayer is not the solution at that moment. Kindly give the poor man money or food and you have become an answer to his prayers. You know what to do to make him rich to an extent and all you could offer is prayer? No please. Learn to use what you have to answer people’s prayers instead of Paying for them.

4. Prayer against minor sickness:

You have headache, you take your bible and begin to speak in tongues. Slight stomach ache, you have started praying simply because you don’t want to give what belong to Ceasar to Ceasar. Do you know that by Praying to God for headache you are disturbing God?? God created a man and accord him a lot of wisdom out of which he was able to make drugs. Instead of you to buy those drugs, you prefer to be disturbing God. Change your approach please.

5. Prayer for wealth: Spending the whole of your time praying for wealth without doing anything to foster the answering process is unacceptable and that is my area of interest. Prayer is only meant for back up. Your success doesn’t depend on the level you pray. We must be frank to ourselves here. Let’s read the Bible: Deut. 28:12 says

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. NIV.

The bottom line of God’s promises is that he will bless the works of your hand. Which means, you must have something doing. Instead of you to keep praying without works and keep accusing God of Forsaking you, try to work and God will make it a prosperous one. God bless you for reading and as you share this article today, poverty shall forever be far from you and your household in Jesus Name.
